Ricardo Santa Cruz


President and CEO

Ricardo has more than 12 years of experience in land acquisition and real estate development in Mexico, having negotiated and acquired more than 4,000+ acres of strategic development property on the Pacific Coast. He was also the lead negotiator in fundraising efforts that resulted in securing $90 million USD of investment funds for the Xala project.

He has been directly involved with every aspect of development for Mandarina, Xala and El Santuario. From the initial land acquisition, master planning, environmental permitting and development to the sales and marketing efforts while maintaining relationships with the surrounding communities, and both the local and federal governments.

Ricardo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder and completed the AD2 program from the prestigious IPADE Business School. He is a member of YPO and serves on the advisory board for BBVA-Bancomer in Nayarit. Both a U.S. and Mexican citizen, Ricardo is not only fluent in English and Spanish, but truly bi-cultural.


Kappner Clark


Director of Marketing & Public Relations

Kappner directs marketing and sales efforts for all RSC properties, including Mandarina, El Santuario, and Xala. She oversees each property’s sales and marketing team, consulting on strategy while managing budgets and forecasting.

Prior to joining RSC, Kappner worked with MIRA Companies at Black Creek Group, responsible for the creation, execution and continued development of the strategic marketing campaign for Tres Santos, a $77M wellness-focused real estate development in Todos Santos. As Marketing Manager for Atlas Real Estate Group in Denver, Colorado, Kappner created and executed the company’s marketing strategy and budget while managing content development, online advertising and public relations.

Kappner earned a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. Originally from Denver, Kappner is passionate about international travel and fluent in Spanish.


JP Mahony


Sales Director

Originally a native of Vancouver, Canada, JP learned the art of working hard while on the tennis court. He was ranked as Canada’s #1 junior tennis player for five years straight before moving to Australia to study and play tennis professionally. JP graduated with a degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong and eventually moved back to Canada to continue his professional tennis career, where he was ranked as #8 in the country in men’s singles.

After competing professionally, JP taught tennis around the world from Austria to the British Virgin Islands. In 2004, JP made his way to Riviera Nayarit, Mexico as he was recruited as Director of Tennis by the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. His most recent ten years in the Nayarit area have been focused on luxury real estate sales.

Prior to joining RSC and leading sales efforts for Mandarina, JP worked for real estate developer Dine in selling the Four Seasons branded residences at Punta Mita before eventually moving on to selling custom luxury homes in the area. In the last five years, JP has sold more than $55 million of real estate. His deep knowledge of the local market coupled with his experience in high-end real estate the last ten years make him the perfect fit for Sales Director.


Martha Magallon


Accounting and Document Control

Martha manages accounting for RSC and is responsible for the firm’s treasury department, budget control, tax management and government procedures.  She also serves as the executive assistant to President and CEO Ricardo Santa Cruz.

Prior to her role at RSC, Martha was a treasury manager at the investment and advisory firm of Rasaland Investors (RLD), owner of Four Seasons Mexico City Hotel. While there she provided accounting management and implemented all accounting processes. Earlier in her career she managed accounting, budgets and the implementation of quality systems processes for American Healthcare Products.

Martha earned a degree in Public Accounting from Universidad de Guadalajara, and is fluent in both Spanish and English.


Cindy Santa Cruz


Mandarina Equestrian Consultant

With more than 35 years of experience as a competitive rider, horse owner and farm manager in a multitude of countries and climates, Cindy brings a breadth of knowledge to her role as Mandarina’s in-house equestrian consultant.

Cindy joins RSC after several years overseeing the design and construction of her personal horse farm in Maui, where she served as the Hawaii State Dressage Society’s President, a role that earned her Volunteer of the Year from The United States Dressage Federation for Region 7. Having lived and boarded horses in many different climates and facilities, she knows firsthand what constitutes a top-notch equestrian facility.

After earning her degree in International Relations from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Cindy worked in the Human Resources Department for the Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco. She later worked for American Healthcare Products in Guadalajara, where she was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources for the company’s Mexico and Malaysia offices. Cindy is both a US and Mexican citizen and fluent in English and Spanish.


Margarita Soto


Sales Assistant

Margarita comes to RSC with more than 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality world. Most recently, she spent 14 years working as one of the lead concierge representatives at Four Seasons Punta Mita.

At RSC, Margarita provides assistance to the sales team throughout the entire process of client communication and closings. She handles initial contact with potential clients, arranges tours, and works closely with the Sales Director throughout the life cycle of leads. She also plays a key role as the closing coordinator for contracts.

Margarita studied Business Administration at CAL State College in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Mexico City, she loves to travel and is fluent in both Spanish and English.


Luis Hernandez Morales


Food & Beverage Manager

Luis manages the day to day on-site food and beverage operations for RSC and its development projects, including Mandarina, El Santuario, and Xala.

Prior to joining RSC, Luis worked with Rasaland Investors (RLD), an investment and advisory firm focused on the tourism, resort development and hotel administration as well as the owner of Four Seasons Mexico City Hotel. Luis was tasked with developing a budgeting system to control cash flow and earnings of the company, reducing and controlling expenses, reviewing contracts, and implementing security processes. Prior to that, he was a consultant at Mayan Island Real Estate and Accenture SC, one of the leading companies providing management consulting, technology and outsourcing services in 56 countries around the world.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Luis holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Systems Engineering from Tec de Monterrey, Campus Estado de Mexico.
